Your Licence!

Before you can start driving, you must have a provisional licence!.

Under nornal circumstances, you will need to be at least 17 years old to be able to apply for your licence, unless you are receiving a disibility living allowance at the higher rate. In this case only, you may apply when you are 16.

Driving licences are issued by the Driver and Vehicle Licencing Agency (DVLA) and you can get an application form (D1) from any post office. Send your completed form and a passport type photo to the appropriate office. (The address is on the form.)
